Desire Harrison-Brown
In 2017, Desiree Harrison-Brown left her 9-to-5 corporate career in project management to pursue her love for wine education. She has several years of experience in wine marketing, and sales, and has represented global brands as National Wine Ambassador. In 2018, Desiree created WINO NOIRE, a lifestyle brand, and community that aims to make wine accessible to a diverse population. A key pillar of WINO NOIRE is to highlight Black and women-owned wine brands. Desiree is also the founder of The Wino Shop, an online retailer of wine accessories for the modern wine lover.
Desiree’s philosophy is that wine is not just a beverage, it’s an experience that starts in the vineyard. She has explored wine regions both locally, regionally, and internationally, gaining hands-on experience during harvest and the winemaking process.
Desiree has been featured on the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Blog, The Strategist, and as Wine Enthusiast Magazine's 2022 Future 40. She is a wine instructor at the Napa Valley Wine Academy and is completing her WSET Diploma, a globally-recognized wine certification. Despite her achievements, it’s her down-to-earth approach and transparency with her audience that have made her a trusted name in the industry.
